Microsoft announced yesterday that Windows Server 2016 will also come with some improvements on scalability.
Starting with Windows Server 2016 a Hyper-V host will support 24TB RAM, 512CPU and as for VMs it will go up to 16TB and 240 virtual CPUs per VM.
