{"id":208,"date":"2016-02-23T09:06:01","date_gmt":"2016-02-23T09:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelstoica.com\/?p=208"},"modified":"2016-02-23T09:06:01","modified_gmt":"2016-02-23T09:06:01","slug":"failover-cluster-node-startup-order-in-windows-server-2012-r2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelstoica.com\/site\/failover-cluster-node-startup-order-in-windows-server-2012-r2\/","title":{"rendered":"Failover Cluster Node Startup Order in Windows Server 2012 R2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A while ago I came across an interesting article written by the Windows Server Core Team about the Failover Cluster Node Startup Order. \u00a0As you might know, when creating a Failover Cluster you have three types of Qourum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cluster without a witness (Node Majority)<\/li>\n<li>Cluster with a disk witness<\/li>\n<li>Cluster with a file share witness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The best choice is to configure the cluster with a disk witness, since this way it doesn&#8217;t matter in which order are turned on back the hosts after a failover.
