It’s been a long time since my last blog post, but with the current Aria Suite upgrades, I’ll make up for this period.
This week I was upgrading Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager, which is needed to be done first, before upgrading all of the other products ( Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, Aria Automation etc) from the Lifecycle Manager.
In this blogpost, I won’t cover the upgrade process which is quite straightforward. Before starting the upgrade process, I highly recommend to make you sure you have a snapshot.
After successfully upgrading from Lifecycle manager 8.12 to 8.14, when I logged in, the build and version numbers were not updated. This is a known issue and it’s covered in this KB.
What you will have to do is to revert to the pre-upgrade snapshot and after that ssh on the appliance, create a file called /var/log/bootstrap/fips_disable and make sure to set the correct permission on the file:
touch /var/log/bootstrap/fips_disable
chmod 644 /var/log/bootstrap/fips_disable
After you do this you will have to run the upgrade once again and everything will be ok.
Hope you find this blogpost helpful.
